A Weekend of Giving Back: Tree Planting with the Wolf River Conservancy
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the 20th annual tree planting event with the Wolf River Conservancy. It was an incredible experience to be part of such an impactful effort, as we planted over 1,000 trees to aid in the reforestation of the Mud Island section of The Wolf River Greenway.
This was my second time participating in the event, and just like before, I had a great time connecting with fellow volunteers while working toward a shared goal. I spent most of the day planting flowering dogwood trees, which will add beauty to the landscape for years to come.
It’s always rewarding to contribute to something bigger than myself, and I look forward to joining again in the future in hopes of supporting the environment and making a lasting difference.
