Plant of the Month (Birthday Edition!) – Japanese Garden Juniper 🌿

It’s been a minute since my last Plant of the Month post, but I’m so excited to restart the series—and what better way than with my birthday present.

This year, I received a Japanese Garden Juniper, and honestly, what a beautiful and thoughtful gift. I love this plant already—it’s simple to care for, loves the outdoors, and adds such a peaceful vibe to my backyard. It’s perfect for anyone with an outdoor space who wants a touch of calm, low-maintenance greenery.

From what I’ve learned, the Japanese Garden Juniper doesn’t require a lot of experience to care for (which feels like a bonus considering my interesting history with bonsais 😅). I’ve been tempted to bring it indoors, but for now, it’s happily soaking up the sun outside—just where it thrives best.

Fun fact: The Japanese Garden Juniper symbolizes strength and protection, and with proper care, it can live for decades—sometimes even longer than its gardener!
