A Weekend at Taste of Chicago

This year, I finally experienced the Taste of Chicago, and it definitely lived up to the hype! Held annually in the heart of Grant Park in downtown Chicago, the festival took place July 8–12 and featured more than 80 vendors serving everything from Chicago favorites to international cuisine.

I visited twice—once on Thursday and again on Saturday—and it was interesting to see the difference in the crowds. Thursday was much more relaxed, making it easier to explore the vendors, while Saturday brought larger crowds and an exciting festival energy.

With so many incredible food options, narrowing down what to try was nearly impossible! Vendors offered both sample-sized portions and full entrées, making it easy to taste a variety of dishes throughout the day.

I sampled everything from savory favorites to sweet treats, although I have to admit I didn't take nearly as many food photos as I would have liked. I was too busy enjoying every bite!

There was live entertainment throughout the event, and on Saturday evening I had the opportunity to see Babyface perform. Hearing him sing songs from his timeless catalog—many of which he wrote and produced for some of music's biggest artists—was the perfect way to end an already amazing day.

Taste of Chicago was an unforgettable experience. I had an amazing time and am already thinking about making the trip again next year.
