Brunch @ Babalu
Updated: Oct 1, 2020
My girlfriends and I looovvvee brunch. On Sunday, we decided to try Babalu in Overton Square. Babalu's is known for it's tapas and tacos. They are also known for their creamy guacamole, which is prepared tableside upon ordering. I enjoyed everything about this spot. We ate and drank so much. The best part of brunch was the Monte Cristo that the chef prepared specially for me. The Monte Cristo is dulce de leche french toast with powdered sugar and blackberry molasses. It's normally topped with black forest ham and swizz cheese, however since I'm not a fan of pork, it was not included. It seemed like every bite of the french toast was devine and satisfying. The Roasted Red Fish was savory and tasty. The fire roasted corn and red chilli butter sauce really enhanced the flavors of the red fish. Babalu's was a great hit and I will definitely be returning for brunch. You can check them out at eatbabalu.com or on ig (@eatbabalu).
