While cruising through Mexico, I stopped in the colorful port city of Ensenada—and let’s just say, my stomach led the way. I stumbled upon El Corralito Restaurant for one reason: free WiFi. But I stayed for the delicious food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable walls literally covered in money. Yes, you read that right. The walls (and ceiling!) were decorated with dollar bills from travelers across the U.S.—some signed with names and cities, others with hilarious quotes and doodles.

The staff was so friendly and unbelievably patient. Between navigating a never ending menu and doing mental gymnastics to figure out pesos vs. USD, I took a minute. Luckily, my waiter brought me a basket of chips and salsa to hold me over. Let me tell you—that salsa had a power spicy kick. Definitely Not the watered-down stuff I’m used to back home.

I ordered the veggie chicken quesadillas, which came perfectly grilled with pico de gallo and pickled red onions on the side. Simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious.

If I could've packed those quesadillas in my suitcase, I would’ve. I may have walked in for the WiFi, but I left with a new favorite spot.
