As much as I enjoy South of Beale, this is only my second time featuring them here. I typically stop in for dinner, but my last few visits have been during lunch—and they’ve been just as satisfying.
Over time, I’ve worked my way through several menu items, but on this visit, I decided to try the Thai Chicken Tacos. These feature coconut-marinated chicken thigh with a light char, finished with a Thai glaze and topped with lettuce, scallion, cilantro, and chili crema, served alongside a side of black beans.
The chicken was juicy and full of flavor, and when paired with the well-seasoned black beans, the dish came together as a hearty and satisfying meal without feeling too heavy.
I’ll definitely be back for more.
